1. Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi:-
Established in 1961 by Prof. Humayun Kabir, Minister of Scientific Research & Cultural Affairs. It is a public engineering institution located in Hauz Khas, South Delhi, India. IIT Delhi offers Bachelor of Technology programs in various fields as well as dual degree B.Tech + M.Tech programs.
2. Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur:-
Established by the Government of India in 1951 so as to train scientists and engineers after India attained independence in 1947. When the first session started in August 1951, there were 224 students and 42 teachers in the ten departments of the Institute. IIT Kharagpur provides scholarships to all M.Tech students and research scholars to encourage them to pursue higher studies.
3. Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay:-
Founded in 1958. On July 10, 2018, The Ministry of HRD granted the ‘Institution of Eminence’ status to IIT Bombay along with IIT Delhi and IISc Bangalore on July 9, 2018. It is the fifth-oldest institute of the Indian Institutes of Technology system. It has a Students’ Activity Center (SAC) for various cultural and other extracurricular activities. In addition to these facilities, the campus also houses two high schools, one of which is a Kendriya Vidyalaya and the other is called IIT Campus School.
4. Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur:-
Established by an Act of Parliament in 1959 as one of the first Indian Institutes of Technology. The first Director of the Institute was P.K. Kelkar. IIT Kanpur is about to open an extension center in Noida with the plan of making a small convention center there for supporting outreach activities. The new campus will have an auditorium, seminar halls for organizing national and international conferences.
5. Indian Institute of Technology, Madras:-
Founded in 1959 with technical and financial assistance from the former government of West Germany. It was the third IIT that was established by the Government of India. Recognised as an Institute of National Importance. The institute has nearly 550 faculties, 8,000 students and 1,250 administrative and supporting staff.
6. Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati:-
Established in 1994. The college has a placement cell with the name of CCD, the students need not worry about the internships and the placements. The whole campus is provided with Wi-Fi connectivity, and the hostels are provided with LAN connectivity. There is a hospital on the campus and if there is any need for further diagnosis, there is a hospital nearby.
7. Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani:-

8. Delhi Technological University, Delhi:-
Established in 1941 to cater the needs of Indian industries for trained technical manpower with practical experience and sound theoretical knowledge. DTU is known for placements. 9. Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad:-
The Indian School of Mines was formally opened on 9th December 1926, by Lord Irwin. The main purpose of this institute is to address the need for trained manpower related to mining activities in the country with disciplines of Mining and Applied Geology. It has Asia’s 2nd largest library with centralized AC systems. There are so many fests that take place every year. The main tech fest is CONCETTO and the main cultural fest is SRIJAN and other fests like Khanan, Spectrum, Basant etc.
10. Indian Institute of Technology, Indore:-
Established by the Government of India in 2009. This institute is amongst the top B.Tech Colleges in India. IIT Indore offers a 4-year B.Tech programme in several engineering fields and follows the same admission procedure as all other IITs. There’s a dispensary in the hall of residence with all the necessary stuff. Moreover, labs are well built with all the latest equipment.
