GATE 2019 Results
The GATE 2019 result will be declared and made available in the official website of GATE 2019. Candidates can view and take printouts of the result. The printout of Result is mandatory for future references. Another key point, only the qualifying candidates can download the GATE 2019 Score Cards. The process owing to which candidates can view the Results :
- Visit the official website of GATE. Click on “Results” link
- Enter Enrollment ID, Registration ID and Captcha. Click to submit
- Download scorecard and take the printout of it for further use
GATE is conducted on behalf of National Coordination Board (NCB)- GATE. The GATE score certainly reflects the relative performance level of a candidate in the fields of Engineering & Technology. Recently, the scores of GATE are also used by several Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) for recruiting Graduate engineers in entry-level positions. GATE is one of the most competitive examinations in India. The GATE Results are valid for a period of 3 years.

GATE 2019 Counselling
Candidates who would be able to secure minimum cut off marks for the GATE 2019, will be called for the Counselling process. To point out, GATE has no common process for counselling. Each institute groups (IITs, IISc, as well as NITs) have their own counselling setups before Admissions. In general, a score of above 600 can get a candidate admitted into the IITs.
Point often overlooked, there are few important documents required for GATE 2019 Counselling Process. The documents, in particular, are Original and photocopy of Government ID (Aadhaar Card, Voter Card, Driving Licence), Minimum 2 latest passport size photographs, Original and Photocopy of admit card, GATE scorecard and mark sheet of qualifying examination (for all semester), Caste certificate signed by authorised authority (If applicable), Income Certificate obtained from the concerned Tahasildar (if applicable).
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national level entrance examination for getting admission into Post Graduate courses in Engineering & Technology fields. GATE is jointly conducted by the Indian Institutes of Science (IIS) and the seven Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) at Kharagpur, Delhi, Roorkee, Guwahati, Kanpur, Chennai (Madras) and Mumbai (Bombay). The various programmes offered, in particular, are M.E., M.Tech. and Ph.D. programmes at IITs, IISc, IISERs and other reputed institutions. Financial assistance is also provided by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. To take advantage of this, the candidates should work really hard with devotion and dedication. For proper guidance and insights, and obviously scoring good merits, candidates can go through the GATE Reference Books.
GATE 2019 Eligibility
Candidates applying for GATE 2019 should be qualified in Bachelor’s Degree / B.Sc. / Diploma in Engineering, Four-year programme in Science, Master’s Degree in any branch of Science or equivalent exam, Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or pursuing such programmes. Candidates’ nationality may be from India or from Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Ethiopia and United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.). However, there is no restriction or eligibility to Age. Final year candidates need to submit Certificate from the Principal of the University or College.
GATE 2019 Syllabus & Exam Pattern
The GATE 2019 is a Computer Based Test (Online). The number of questions in a paper is 65 and total marks is out of 100. In fact, the question types are Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT). There are 23 different test papers in GATE, however a candidate can take up test in one paper only. On the negative side, there are negative markings of 1/3 and 2/3 for MCQs carrying 1 mark and 2 marks respectively. GATE takes place for a duration of 3 hours (180 minutes). Additionally, the session timings at International centres are as per the local time for GATE 2019.

GATE 2019 Application Details
Candidates to appear for the entrance examination needs to apply by filling up the Application form. The Application form will be available on the official website of GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) from September 1, 2018. Last date of submission of the same is October 9, 2018. Follow the process, with attention to fill up the GATE 2019 Online Application form :
- To begin with, Login to GOAPS official website and click on New Registration
- Enter personal such as details, e-mail ID, mobile number & create a password, and click on Submit
- Then, Login using e-mail ID and Password. Redirected to the Application form
- Enter personal details such as name, gender, date of birth etc.
- Upload scanned photograph, signature, degree certificate, category certificate (if any)
- Save the application form and straightaway pay the fee through net banking/debit card/credit card
- Finally, submit the application form and take the printout of acknowledge page

GATE 2019 Admit Cards & Exam Centres
The exam centres for GATE 2019 to take place in 8 zones across the country. The 8 zone GATE offices are IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Roorkee. However, there are multiple exam cities under each Zonal Office.
The international exam cities are Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), Colombo (Sri Lanka), Dhaka (Bangladesh), Dubai (UAE), Kathmandu (Nepal) and Singapore.
GATE 2019 Admit cards would be available for download on the Official Website from January 4, 2019. Candidates will be able to view and download the Admit Cards from the GOAPS official website appsgate.iitg.ac.in after entering required credentials. Applicants have to mandatorily carry the Admit Cards along with an original Government ID proof (which was used to fill the GATE 2019 Application form). Candidates would be able to download the Admit cards, specifically by following the steps –
- Log on to the official website of GATE
- Enter Registered ID and Password. Click on submit
- At last, download admit card and take a printout of it
